Responsibilities
Production Planning (PP)
- Configure enterprise and PP master data including BOMs, Routings/Recipes, Work Centers/Resources, Production Versions, and Control Keys.
- Set up Demand Management and MRP including lot sizing, planning strategies (MTS/MTO), safety stock, and exception handling.
- Configure and manage Capacity Planning (finite/infinite, leveling).
- Implement Shop Floor Control including order types, release, confirmations, backflush, GI/GR, variance/WIP, and order settlement.
- Support manufacturing scenarios: Discrete, Process, and Repetitive Manufacturing (REM with rate routings and product cost collectors).
- Integrate PP with MES/LIMS or plant systems using IDoc, OData, API, or PI/PO.
Quality Management (QM)
- Configure Inspection Planning including Inspection Plans, MICs (quantitative/qualitative), sampling schemes, and task lists.
- Manage inspection processes including lot creation (incoming, in-process, final), results recording, usage decisions, and quality certificates.
- Configure and manage Quality Notifications and CAPA processes including 8D workflows and rework integration with PP.
- Enable vendor and customer quality processes including source inspections and delivery-related inspections.
- Ensure compliance and traceability through batch/serial number management and audit trail controls.
Integration & Cross-Module Expertise
- Integrate PP/QM with MM, SD, FI/CO, PM/EAM, and EWM/WM.
- Support batch management, classification, GR-based inspections, costing, and warehouse inspection handling.
- Perform data migration using LTMC/LSMW for BOMs, Routings, MICs, Inspection Plans, and open documents.
- Prepare FIT-GAP analysis, functional specifications, test scripts (UT/IT/UAT), cutover plans, and hypercare documentation.
Governance & Process Excellence
- Maintain configuration governance and transport management (ChaRM).
- Drive root cause analysis for production and quality issues.
- Define and track KPIs such as production adherence, yield, scrap, rework, and inspection cycle times.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance (ISO/GxP/IATF where applicable).
