Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Application Lead to drive the design, development, and configuration of applications within our SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting landscape. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into technical implementations. This role also requires mentoring team members, resolving application issues, and enhancing overall application performance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Act independently and quickly ramp up to become the SME (Subject Matter Expert) in SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
Solution Design & Development:
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP FI S/4HANA applications ensuring alignment with business processes and project goals.
Problem Solving:
- Participate in and contribute to solutioning and troubleshooting efforts during project lifecycles and post-go-live support.
Performance Monitoring:
- Analyze application performance regularly and drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor junior team members, promote knowledge sharing, and maintain a collaborative team environment.
Project Management Support:
- Provide accurate effort estimates, manage deliverables, and adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
Cross-System Integration:
- Work closely with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between SAP and non-SAP systems.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must-Have:
- Proven expertise in SAP FI S/4HANA Accounting (minimum 3 years).
- Strong understanding of core financial processes including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting.
- Hands-on experience in application design, configuration, and implementation within SAP S/4HANA.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills for SAP application issues.
- Proficiency in integration scenarios involving SAP and external systems (e.g., middleware, third-party financial tools).
- Ability to analyze and optimize application performance and functionality.
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to Finance.
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and Agile project environments.
- Familiarity with change management and release cycles in enterprise environments.
- Basic understanding of ABAP debugging to support technical troubleshooting.
