About the role

Orica is a global leader in mining and infrastructure solution providers. We're looking for a SAP SD/GTS Consultant to join our team and help enhance our SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) platform — a critical system that supports international trade compliance for regulated materials.

This is a career-building opportunity for someone who has delivered GTS implementations, worked in client-facing environments, and is now seeking a stable, long-term role focused on system support, configuration, and continuous improvement.

You'll work closely with business and technical teams to:

• Configure and enhance SAP GTS and SAP SD modules
• Support compliance processes like SPL screening, embargo checks, and product classification
• Manage customs processes including license control and country-specific configurations
• Integrate SAP S/4HANA with GTS and third-party systems
• Lead global rollouts and onboarding of new countries into GTS

What you will be doing

• Conduct feasibility studies and design SAP GTS solutions
• Configure compliance checks (SPL screening, embargo, product classification)
• Manage customs processes (license control, commodity/tariff codes)
• Integrate SAP S/4HANA with GTS and third-party systems
• Lead global rollouts and onboarding of new countries
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to resolve issues and improve performance
• Maintain documentation and support full application lifecycle

What you will bring

• A tertiary qualification in an IT-related discipline
• 5+ years of SAP experience, including SAP GTS and SAP SD
• Proven track record in 2–3 SAP GTS implementations
• Strong knowledge of compliance management (SPL screening, embargo, legal control, product classification)
• Experience in customs management (license control, commodity/tariff codes, country-specific configuration)
• Integration expertise with SAP S/4HANA and third-party systems, including BADI enhancements
• Exposure to global rollouts and onboarding new countries to GTS
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical SAP solutions
