We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled SAP Grant Management (GM) Consultant with strong expertise in SAP FICO to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional knowledge of SAP Grant Management and Financial Accounting processes, with hands-on experience in implementation, support, integration, and optimization of grant-related financial workflows.
This role will involve close collaboration with business stakeholders, finance teams, and project teams to support and enhance SAP Grant Management processes, ensuring compliance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and implement SAP Grant Management (GM) functionalities including:
- Grants tracking
- Budgeting
- Financial monitoring
- Reporting and compliance
- Integrate SAP GM with SAP FICO modules (FI/CO) to ensure seamless financial workflows and grant accounting processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and align SAP configurations with operational and financial objectives.
- Provide subject matter expertise on SAP GM best practices, grant lifecycle management, compliance requirements, and financial controls.
- Conduct system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and production support activities.
- Support SAP system upgrades, enhancements, and patch implementations related to SAP GM and FICO functionalities.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, configuration documents, training materials, and user guides.
- Conduct end-user training and provide ongoing support to business users.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to grant accounting and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within grant management operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in: SAP Grant Management (GM) /SAP FICO (FI/CO)/ Strong experience in SAP GM configuration, implementation, integration, and support.
- Deep understanding of: Grant budgeting/Fund allocation/Financial monitoring/Grant lifecycle management/Compliance and reporting standards
- Experience handling complex financial workflows and SAP integrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in system testing, UAT support, and production issue resolution.
- SAP Certification in SAP GM or SAP FICO will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or cloud-based SAP solutions is preferred.
- Prior experience in public sector, government, education, healthcare, or non-profit environments will be advantageous.
- Project implementation experience and familiarity with SAP implementation methodologies preferred.
