Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a SAP BTP Architect, located in Hyderabad, India. The SAP BTP Architect will collaborate with clients to design and implement tailored SAP Business Technology Platform solutions. Key responsibilities include analyzing business processes, developing solution architectures, driving system integrations, and providing expert consulting services. The role also involves troubleshooting, optimizing SAP Basis, and leading end-to-end implementation projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance SAP Simple MDG applications on SAP BTP using RAP, CAP, and Fiori Elements.

Develop custom BTP workflows (SAP Build Process Automation) for master data governance and approval processes.

Integrate Simple MDG with S/4HANA and external systems using Cloud Integration (CPI) and Event Mesh.

Implement BRF+ rules for validation, derivation, and decision logic within governance workflows.

Build and extend Fiori applications using the Fiori Generator and standard UI annotations.

Develop RAP-based OData services and CDS views for transactional and analytical use cases.

Create event-driven architecture using Event Mesh for real-time data synchronization and change notifications.

Collaborate with Solution Architects and Functional teams to translate governance requirements into technical designs.

Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to clean-core principles, and optimize application performance.

Document technical design specifications, integration flows, and development guidelines.

Support testing, deployment, and hyper care activities, ensuring robust and high-quality deliverables.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing development standards and best practices for SAP BTP projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

7-10 years of overall SAP development experience with strong focus on S/4HANA ABAP Full stack development.

Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services such as Cloud Integration (CPI), Event Mesh, and SAP Build Process Automation.

Strong expertise in RAP programming model, CDS views, OData, and ABAP RESTful services.

Experience building Fiori/UI5 applications using Fiori Elements and the Fiori Generator.

Solid understanding of BRF+, BOPF, and data validation frameworks.

Experience integrating on-premise S/4HANA systems with SAP BTP via destinations, APIs, and eventing.

Familiarity with SAP Master Data Integration (MDI) and Simple MDG concepts.

Knowledge of clean core extensibility and BTP security (XSUAA, destinations, connectivity service).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation for SAP BTP deployments.

Exposure to RAP or CAP Programming Model.

Understanding of SAP HANA Cloud, BTP Cockpit, and Cloud Foundry environment.

Familiarity with Agile delivery models and enterprise integration patterns.

SAP BTP or ABAP Developer certification preferred.
