Key responsibilities
- Architectural design: Define and implement the overall integration strategy and architecture using SAP BTP.
- Solution development: Design, build, and deploy integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh).
- System connectivity: Implement secure connectivity between on-premise systems and cloud solutions, often using SAP Cloud Connector.
- Integration strategy: Ensure seamless integration across SAP and non-SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, and other cloud or on-premise applications.
- Migration and modernization: Support the migration of legacy systems (like SAP PI/PO) to SAP BTP and drive modernization initiatives.
- Security and compliance: Ensure all solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and data protection standards (e.g., GDPR).
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work with business stakeholders, solution teams, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and best practices.
- Technical leadership: Provide technical guidance, perform code reviews, and mentor development teams.
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience: Significant experience in SAP integration and middleware, often with at least 3+ years specifically using SAP BTP.
- Technical skills:
- Deep expertise in SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh).
- Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services and other BTP components like Extension Suite.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python is often required.
- Familiarity with integration patterns and best practices.
- Experience with API development, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
