Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our team on a remote contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ABAP development, including custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms. You will work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver high-quality SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW objects).
- Develop and enhance ALV reports, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.
- Work on data migration and interface development using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and APIs.
- Implement user exits, BADIs, and enhancements.
- Collaborate with functional teams (FICO, SD, MM, etc.) to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Perform debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Support SAP upgrades, implementations, and system integrations.
- Conduct unit testing and assist in integration and UAT testing.
- Ensure code quality, documentation, and adherence to SAP best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong experience in:
- Reports (Classical & ALV)
- Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs)
- Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs)
- Forms (SmartForms/Adobe Forms)
- Experience with debugging and performance tuning.
- Understanding of SAP data dictionary (DDIC).
- Experience working with cross-functional SAP modules.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA.
- Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
- Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5.
- SAP ABAP certification.
- Experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations.
