Job Description:
- As our Platform Administrator, you will be the primary expert responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of our core operational systems: Salesforce (Sales/Service Cloud) and Precursive, our onboarding management tool.
- This role is critical for ensuring our Google Cloud Marketplace Onboarding lifecycle is seamless, efficient, and accurately tracked.
- The Salesforce and Precursive Integration
- Within the Google Cloud Marketplace team, Precursive is utilized within the Orbitera Salesforce instance for partner onboarding and solution validation. Precursive integrates natively with Salesforce to streamline customer onboarding, project management, and resource forecasting.
- You will manage this ecosystem primarily through Precursive BoardsKanban-style workflows used to track progress through various stages of the partner lifecycle.
What You'll Do
You will manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for platform enhancements:
- Request Management: Act as the intake lead for stakeholder requirements. You will evaluate incoming requests, prioritize them based on business impact, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Development & Configuration: Execute the build-out of solutions. This includes advanced Salesforce configuration (Security, Custom Fields, Objects) and utilizing Salesforce development programming languages (Apex, Lightning Web Components) when declarative tools reach their limit.
- Precursive Maintenance & Modification: Perform deep-level maintenance and ongoing modifications to the Precursive environment, including resource forecasting, project planning templates, and milestone management.
- Testing & QA: Own the validation process. You will test all changes in sandbox environments to ensure they meet requirements and do not disrupt existing integrations or workflows.
- Deployment to Production: Manage the release process to the production environment, ensuring high-quality, bug-free deployments with minimal downtime.
- Reporting & Support: Hands-on creation of complex Salesforce/Precursive reports and acting as the primary point of contact for system issues and user enablement.
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer.
- Salesforce Development Proficiency: Strong experience with Salesforce programming languages, specifically Apex (classes, triggers) and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Expert Configuration Knowledge: Mastery of the Salesforce security model, permissions, and advanced Flow Builder automation.
- Precursive Expertise: Proven experience supporting Precursive (PSX/PSA) maintenance and modifications, including hands-on experience customizing the tool to meet evolving business needs.
- Lifecycle Management: Demonstrated experience managing the full Build-Test-Deploy cycle in a professional environment.
- Timezone: Ability to work in the EST timezone to support the core team.
