Job Description

Job Role - We need to increase strength of Sales Planning team due to current Order Management cycle which involves close co-ordination with 4 plants as well as SC for matter such as orders at Hand against Plan, Customer wise allocation, FG Produced – Delayed/Excess, Material On DO, Invoicing after DO, GRN to customer after DO, co-ordination for RM at Hazira for Coated Plant, Day wise FG plan and compliance, etc. This is all in addition to routine planning process which is done at broader level. There are numerous small issues which requires time to extract data, co-ordinate with Sales team-DCM and Logistics.

Job Description:

This role blends strategic sales forecasting, market intelligence, and analytical skills. The person shall be responsible for aligning sales strategies with production capabilities and market demand. This role requires expertise in steel industry dynamics, advanced analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize revenue and profitability. Key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term sales forecasts based on market trends, customer demand, and production capacity and upload the same in our OMP tool.
  • Align sales plans with manufacturing schedules, supply chain capabilities, and financial targets.
  • Track sales performance against KPIs, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production, logistics, DCM and sales team to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Present regular dashboards, reports, and strategic insights to senior leadership.

Qualification:

  • MBA or CA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales planning, business analysis, or strategy roles within manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Prior exposure to steel or metals industry is highly desirable.
