Job Description

Position Overview

Responsible for promoting, selling, and providing technical support for artificial lift equipment such as sucker rod pumps, sucker rods, and related well completion or artificial lift solutions. This role combines engineering knowledge with sales strategy to meet customer needs, expand market presence, and drive revenue growth. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities in oil & gas operators and artificial lift service companies.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for API 11AX pump products and API 11B sucker rod systems.
  • Meet or exceed monthly/annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, equipment demonstrations, and proposals.
  • Manage customer accounts and maintain long-term partnerships with key stakeholders.

2. Technical Support & Engineering

  • Understand the full technical specifications and performance parameters of API 11AX and API 11B products.
  • Provide engineering assistance for selection, sizing, and optimization of sucker rod pumps, sucker rods, and accessories.
  • Conduct failure analysis, troubleshooting, and recommend product improvements or replacements.

Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address customer feedback or special requirements.

3. Marketing & Product Promotion

  • Develop marketing materials, datasheets, and product catalogs aligned with API standards.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry exhibitions, and networking events.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor products, and customer needs.
  • Assist in digital marketing activities (website content, social media, campaigns).

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Visit customer sites regularly to provide product consultation and technical solutions.
  • Offer training sessions for operators, field staff, and procurement teams.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, tenders, and pricing agreements.
  • Ensure high levels of post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

5. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all product offerings comply with API 11AX and API 11B standards.
  • Prepare technical proposals, BOMs, and documentation for tenders or RFPs.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and CRM data.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure accurate certification, traceability, and product documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

2. Experience

  • 5–8+ years of experience in oil & gas equipment sales, preferably in artificial lift or downhole equipment.
  • Knowledge of API 11AX (SRPs) and API 11B (sucker rods, coupling & related products ) standards.

3. Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of artificial lift systems (SRP).
  • Ability to read technical drawings, pump cards, specifications, and API standards.
  • Familiarity with well optimization and artificial lift performance analysis.  

 4. Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently.

  • Sales revenue growth & market share increase.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention rate.
  • Conversion rate of leads to sales.

Accuracy of technical proposals and low rate of product/installation issues
