About the Company - Velankani Group is key player in electronics design and manufacturing business delivering high end products in Power Electronics, High Speed Server Design, Motors & Controls, Robotics and Industrial Automation.

About the Role - We are seeking an experienced sales Manager with strong background and experience in automation solutions and sales of PLC, Motion controllers, Industrial Robots and related products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales Target, developing customer relations and ensuring business growth. This role will require technical expertise, planning, experience in Market research and competitor analysis.

Responsibilities- Job Description

Market & Opportunity Development

  • Conduct Market research and understand new business areas and needs of customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Robotic controllers, manufacturing automation, industrial automation and other applications of Robots including healthcare, retail and related fields.
  • Map target accounts, decision makers, and buying centers (R&D, Product Engineering, Procurement, CTO orgs).
  • Providing Automation Solutions to Machinery Manufacturers and End customers

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Promotion and sales of Industrial Robots, PLC, Motion Controllers, IO Cards
  • Visit customer sites for discussion and presentation about the product and services
  • Achieve sales targets by identifying key target areas
  • Build and Maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Build and nurture long‑term relationships with OEMs.
  • Understand client product roadmaps and propose relevant engineering solutions.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and technical-commercial discussions.
  • Represent company at tradeshows, exhibitions and events

Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management

  • Develop and execute sales plans aligned with revenue targets.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline; track leads, proposals, and closures.
  • Prepare proposals, SOWs, capability decks, and pricing models in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and Planning of deliverables
  • Ensuring timely delivery of solutions and product to the customer

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, R&D, program management, and delivery teams to scope requirements and craft winning solutions.

Commercial Skills

  • Prepare and present proposals, quotations and terms with clients
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closures.

Account Growth & Customer Success

  • Ensure timely follow ups and convert leads into sales
  • Drive up-sell and cross‑sell opportunities across product lifecycle services (concept → design → prototyping → validation → manufacturing).
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure smooth project handover to delivery teams.

Required Skills

Qualifications -

  • Education: Bachelors Degree (Ideally B.E./B. Tech in ECE/EEE/Instrumentation/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or related fields of study)
  • MBA in Marketing/Strategy (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Proven record of 5+ years of selling experience
  • Good understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, Automation and controls

Ability to travel frequently for client meetings

Business Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in B2B sales, solution selling, or consultative selling.
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex engineering deals.
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets
  • Familiarity in selling products/services to government customers

Technical & Domain Understanding

  • In depth knowledge of working of PLC and Motion controls
  • Strong network in Automotive, Electronics and Manufacturing industries

Preferred Skills -

  • Minimum 5+ years in business development, sales, or account management in Robotic Automation
