Job Title: Sales Manager – North & South Gujarat (FMCG Background is Mandatory)

Job Type: Full-Time & Permanent

Experience: 8 to 10+ Years

Location: Ahmedabad or Surat (Gujarat)

Work Mode: Work From Office (Field + Office Role)

Working Days: 6 Days

Working Hours: 10 AM to 7 PM

Compensation Range: INR 6 – 7 LPA

Job Brief

We are looking for a result-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our business across North & South Gujarat.

This role will own the complete sales performance, distributor network, and team effectiveness for the assigned region.

You will act as a key link between head office functions (sales, marketing, supply chain) and on-ground execution, ensuring alignment with company goals, brand standards, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute area sales plans for general trade; track weekly and monthly performance against KPIs.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and overall business performance in the region.
  • Build and establish a strong distributor network from scratch; optimize for coverage and market penetration.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team through regular field visits and on-the-job training.
  • Ensure product availability, distribution, and visibility across all key outlets and channels.
  • Conduct regular market visits, competitive audits, and gather consumer/trade insights.
  • Plan and execute brand activations, promotions, and visibility initiatives to build consumer demand.
  • Work closely with head office teams to ensure seamless execution of sales and marketing plans.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of sales team members.
  • Maintain regular communication with the team; conduct meetings and provide real-time guidance.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage margins, costs, and ensure financial discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs and local regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in FMCG sales.
  • Minimum 5 years of team handling experience (ASM / RSM level).
  • Strong expertise in sales strategy, distributor management, and market expansion.
  • Good analytical skills with strong financial and business judgment.
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% within Gujarat.
