Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Manager to drive business growth for MapInfo (GIS) solutions at Lepton Software.

The role involves managing the complete sales lifecycle, building strong client relationships, and expanding the company's footprint across key industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation: Drive sales of MapInfo solutions and achieve assigned revenue targets
  • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities across telecom, utilities, government, and enterprise sectors
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to deal closure
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations, product demos, and solution pitches
  • Solution Selling: Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to propose customized GIS solutions
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts and MIS reports
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs
  • Proposal & RFP Management: Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, and handle commercial negotiations
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with marketing, delivery, and support teams for successful execution

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in GIS, IT software, or enterprise solutions
  • Strong understanding of GIS tools, preferably MapInfo
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in geospatial or location intelligence solutions
  • Exposure to telecom, utilities, infrastructure, or government sectors
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles and RFP processes
