Function: Field Sales — Dealer & Distribution

Reports to: Sales Head

Location / Territory: [Select one zone — e.g. Western UP (Meerut / Muzaffarnagar / Haridwar) & Central UP (Lucknow / Kanpur) | Bihar | Jharkhand | West Bengal &  Madhya Pradesh (all)]

Employment type: Full-time, field role (extensive travel within territory)

iTarang is a full-stack lithium battery platform built for India's e-rickshaw market. We don't just sell batteries — we combine OEM-grade lithium batteries, dealer & driver financing, and a battery buyback programme into a single proposition that lowers the total cost of ownership for e-rickshaw operators and gives dealers a faster-moving, higher-value product than lead-acid.

We're expanding our dealer network across North, Central and East India, and we're looking for field sales leaders who can build it on the ground.

The Role

You will own the growth of iTarang's lithium battery sales in your assigned territory — appointing and activating e-rickshaw battery dealers and distributors, converting existing lead-acid counters to lithium, and driving both primary (sell-in) and secondary (sell-through) sales.

This is a build role, not an order-taking role. You'll be selling a switch — moving dealers off familiar lead-acid economics onto lithium by pitching TCO savings, iTarang financing, and our buyback programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Build the network. Identify, appoint, onboard and manage e-rickshaw battery dealers and distributors across the assigned territory.

• Drive sales. Achievement of monthly targets on volume, revenue, and number of active dealers is mandatory. Own both sell-in to dealers and sell-through to end customers.

• Convert. Move existing lead-acid e-rickshaw battery counters to iTarang lithium by selling the total-cost-of-ownership, financing, and buyback story.

• Enable dealers. Train dealer staff on the product, warranty, financing process, and buyback so they can sell confidently.

• Manage the funnel & credit. Track dealer performance, ensure disciplined payments/collections in coordination with the finance team, and keep the pipeline healthy.

• Field intelligence. Report competitor pricing, schemes, and market movement from the ground back to head office.

• After-sales coordination. Be the first point of contact for dealer/warranty issues and route them to the right internal team.

• Travel. Be on the ground across your territory — this role is built around field presence, not a desk.

What You Need (Required)

• 2+ years of experience selling 3-wheeler / e-rickshaw batteries at dealer or distribution points.

• Existing relationships with e-rickshaw battery dealers/distributors in the assigned belt.

• Working understanding of the e-rickshaw ecosystem — dealers, drivers, mechanics, and financiers.

• Fluent Hindi; regional language an advantage (e.g. Bangla for West Bengal).

• Must be willing to travel extensively within the territory — this is a field-first role.

• Own two-wheeler/car and valid driving licence.

Nice to Have (Preferred)

• Experience selling lithium batteries or EV components.

• Exposure to dealer/retail financing or NBFC-linked sales.

• A strong, established dealer network in a specific belt within the territory.

• Graduate in any discipline (a strong sales track record outweighs the degree).
