Job Title:Sales Head-GT-FMCG Co-Chennai & North TN

Location:Chennai

Industry:FMCG-General Trade

CTC:Maximum gross up to 30 LPA

Role Overview

The Sales Head -General trade will be responsible for driving overall sales performance in the assigned region, including both primary and secondary sales. The role requires strong leadership, distributor management, and a sharp focus on revenue growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive primary & secondary sales targets for the region
  • Strengthen and expand the distributor network
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team performance
  • Increase numeric and weighted distribution (outlet expansion)
  • Ensure range selling across all channels
  • Conduct sales analysis and derive actionable insights
  • Coordinate with backend/support teams for seamless operations
  • Handle and resolve distributor grievances effectively
  • Take full responsibility for top-line and bottom-line performance

Candidate Requirements

  • Age: Up to 45 years

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years as Sales Head / RSM in FMCG
  • Must have handled a minimum turnover of 10 Cr per month
  • Proven track record of consistent performance and results delivery
  • Strong career stability (worked with max 3-4 companies)
  • Experience in team handling and distributor management

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and sales reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly result-oriented and performance-driven

Educational Qualification

  • MBA (Mandatory)
