Role Description The Sales Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle for air compressors and related machinery, including identifying prospects, conducting technical presentations, and preparing proposals. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with customers to understand their operational requirements, recommend suitable technical solutions, and support installation-related queries in coordination with the technical team. Daily responsibilities include maintaining relationships with existing clients, following up on inquiries, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, and meeting assigned sales targets. The role also requires accurate documentation of customer interactions, market feedback, and sales activities to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to understand machinery specifications, propose solutions, and assist with product implementation.
  • Candidates should possess solid Sales and Customer Service skills to build relationships, manage negotiations, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and active listening.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field are beneficial.
  • Experience in industrial machinery or air compressor sales, familiarity with the Ahmedabad industrial market, and a valid willingness to travel locally are advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, basic proficiency with CRM or sales tracking tools, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team are preferred.
