Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Sales Engineer to serve customers by identifying their needs and providing tailored product, equipment, and service solutions. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients, preparing cost estimates, and demonstrating how our offerings can improve operations and reduce costs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to identify new business opportunities and drive customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
  • Provide technical and engineering information about products, services, or equipment by answering questions and requests.
  • Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing a sales call schedule.
  • Prepare cost estimates by studying customer documents and consulting with engineers and other professionals.
  • Determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of our offerings in the customer's environment.
  • Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.
  • Submit orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes.
  • Develop customers staff by providing technical information and training.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying informed on legislation.
  • Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and application trends.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills Required:

  • Strong ability to identify customer needs and engineer suitable solutions.
  • Excellent technical and engineering knowledge to provide accurate information.
  • Experience in planning and organizing sales call schedules and identifying new accounts.
  • Proficiency in preparing cost estimates and analyzing cost-benefit ratios.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to gain customer acceptance.
  • The ability to provide technical training and information to customers.
  • Knowledge of preparing sales engineering reports and analyzing sales trends.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing long-range issues and recommending solutions.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
