Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experiencedBusiness Development Managerto lead end-to-end property acquisition and revenue growth. This role requires a strong background in real estate and hospitality business development, with expertise in CRM-driven lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure. The ideal candidate will be a transformational leader capable of driving growth, forging strategic partnerships, and collaborating effectively with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, qualify, and close deals to acquire residential properties suitable for short-term rentals.
- Manage lead generation and qualification pipelines effectively using CRM and SaaS sales tools.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with property owners, real estate agents, developers, and aggregators.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to optimize portfolio profitability and scalability.
- Partner with Operations, Pricing, and Analytics teams to ensure efficient onboarding and asset optimization.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to continuously identify new acquisition opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and communicate progress to leadership regularly.
- Represent Shepherds.homes at industry events and build the brand's presence in real estate circles.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3 to 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or property acquisition within real estate, hospitality, or adjacent sectors.
- Proven success managing full sales cycles and exceeding revenue targets.
- Demonstrated ability with CRM tools, lead management, and SaaS-like sales methodologies.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Strategic and data-driven, thriving in fast-paced startup environments.
- Bachelor's degree is required; MBA or relevant advanced qualifications preferred.
- Experience in hospitality business development and short-term rental market is highly valued.

- Competitive total compensation structured as50% fixed salary + 50100% variable commissions and incentives.
- Market-aligned target compensation ranges from approximately10 to 18 lakhs per annum, depending on experience and performance.
