Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing) preferred.
Job Summary
The Business Development professional will be responsible for generating sales for residential rooftop solar projects, identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The role includes customer acquisition, technical consultations, proposal preparation, closure of sales, and coordination with internal teams for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the residential rooftop solar market.
- Generate leads through field visits, digital platforms, channel partners, referrals, RWAs, and corporate tie-ups.
- Conduct customer meetings and understand their energy requirements.
- Promote rooftop solar solutions under CAPEX and financing models.
- Build long-term relationships with homeowners, builders, architects, and channel partners.
Sales & Customer Acquisition
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations.
- Conduct site surveys with the technical team.
- Explain technical and commercial aspects of rooftop solar systems.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close sales successfully.
Proposal & Commercials
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
- Coordinate with the design team for system sizing and costing.
- Follow up on proposals until closure.
- Ensure proper documentation before project handover.
Market Development
- Identify new residential clusters and housing societies.
- Develop dealer and installer networks.
- Participate in exhibitions, seminars, and awareness campaigns.
- Track competitor activities and market trends.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective customers.
- Resolve customer queries throughout the sales cycle.
- Ensure excellent customer experience from inquiry to installation.
- Generate referrals from satisfied customers.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Execution teams.
- Ensure timely project execution after order confirmation.
- Support documentation for subsidy applications where applicable.
- Maintain CRM updates and sales reports.
