Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Chennai. The Sales Associate will engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their insurance needs and recommend suitable products from Bajaj General's portfolio. Daily responsibilities include generating and qualifying leads, conducting product presentations, explaining policy features and benefits, and assisting customers with the proposal and documentation process. The role also involves maintaining relationships with customers and partners, following up on renewals, achieving assigned sales and revenue targets, and updating sales activities in internal systems. The Sales Associate will collaborate with branch teams to ensure a smooth customer experience and adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term connections.
- Sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills to identify opportunities, present solutions, and close deals effectively.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Basic numeracy and analytical skills to understand premium calculations, policy terms, and coverage details.
- Familiarity with general insurance products (motor, health, home) and willingness to learn specialized offerings.
- Comfort with using computers and digital tools such as CRM systems, email, and office productivity software.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple customer interactions.
- Preferred educational background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, commerce, marketing, or a related field.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or retail sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English and local languages spoken in Chennai, with strong ethical standards and customer-centric mindset.
