Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment by implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and providing training to employees.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Provide safety training and orientation to employees.
- Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure proper maintenance and usage.
- Prepare reports on safety performance and recommend improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in a safety officer role or a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards in India.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools.
