Description
We are seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, conducting audits, and providing training to employees.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to minimize workplace hazards.
- Provide safety training and workshops for employees to promote a culture of safety.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare and maintain safety records and reports for management review.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to local and national safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in a safety officer role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and influence employees.
- Proficient in conducting safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive safety initiatives.
