Role: S&T Supply Chain IT Deployment lead, Manufacturing Digitization

Location: Hyderabad

Role Description -

As part of the Sector Supply Chain IT Deployment team, this role is responsible for advancing PepsiCo's digital transformation agenda in manufacturing across MENAPAK, India, and South Africa.

Serving as the strategic bridge between IT and Manufacturing, the role drives shop floor digitization through both packaged and custom-built IT solutions such as global shop floor tools, MES, and paperless initiatives. These solutions deliver real-time visibility into shop floor performance and quality, while seamlessly integrating with plant automation systems including PLCs, automated storage, and replenishment solutions.

The role offers significant exposure and collaboration with global and regional Business, IT, and OT teams. It requires strong leadership to set priorities, influence stakeholders, drive solution adoption, deliver measurable value, and ensure continuity of manufacturing operations.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the strategic IT partner to Markets/Business Units, ensuring technology initiatives are fully aligned with business priorities and goals.
  • Lead the deployment, stabilization, and adoption of digital manufacturing solutions (e.g., DVC, GE shop floor solutions, Paperless, and others).
  • Drive end-to-end implementation of shop floor solutions in line with PepsiCo's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and sector transformation strategies.
  • Ensure digital solutions are integrated with business processes and operations to deliver measurable value and efficiency.
  • Oversee project delivery by tracking progress, anticipating risks, and driving timely resolution of roadblocks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for digital manufacturing programs across the region, managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Master's in Business or related field preferred.
  • 10-12 years of relevant IT experience, with strong exposure to manufacturing digitization and shop floor automation.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and digital transformation within plant environments.
  • Hands-on experience deploying shop floor/industrial digitization programs (e.g., MES, SCADA, GE shop floor automation solutions).
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed organizations and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Experience in consulting or leading large-scale supply chain transformation programs is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in business-level English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset and focus on execution.
