We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong foundation in Ruby on Rails and a keen interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance product functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build, maintain, and enhance robust web applications. Your expertise in JavaScript (jQuery & React), PostgreSQL, and GitHub workflows will be crucial to driving product development forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails and ERB templates
- Build and enhance front-end components using JavaScript, jQuery, and React
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices
- Work with PostgreSQL for data modeling and efficient queries
- Collaborate with team members via GitHub, managing branches, pull requests, and code reviews
- Integrate and experiment with AI tools and APIs to deliver intelligent features
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decisions
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
- Proficiency in ERB templating, HTML, CSS, and responsive design
- Strong command of JavaScript, with experience in jQuery and React
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and complex queries
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows and CI/CD processes
- Working knowledge of AI tools/APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face) and how they can be integrated into web apps
- Ability to write well-tested, well-documented code
Nice to Have
- Experience with background job processing (Sidekiq, Resque)
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployment
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Interest in prompt engineering or ML/AI applications
