Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Ruby on Rails Developer who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend expertise, a solid understanding of databases, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Ruby on Rails applications
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
- Integrate third-party APIs and services
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
- Ensure proper documentation of code and processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 45 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development
- Strong knowledge of Ruby, Rails, MVC architecture
- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL / MySQL
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and API integrations
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Knowledge of background jobs, caching, and performance optimization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of RSpec / Minitest
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
