I often come across a few different CLO waterfall sequences and wanted to understand their impact better.

For interest, I usually see two variations:

1. Interest Deferred Interest IC/OC Tests

2. Interest IC/OC Tests Deferred Interest

For principal, there are typically three variations:

1. Interest Deferred Interest IC/OC Tests

2. Interest IC/OC Tests Deferred Interest

3. All IC/OC Tests Interest Deferred Interest

Even though the differences look small, the order can change how quickly tests trigger, how deferred interest builds or gets cured, and how cash gets redirected across tranches.

I'm interested in understanding how these waterfall patterns affect deal behavior and noteholder outcomes.
