Role OverviewThis role focuses on identifying emerging flavour trends, consumer preferences, and product innovation opportunities through structured research.
You will help guide flavour development and application concepts by translating market intelligence into actionable product insights, supporting both internal teams and customer innovation projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Trend Research- Conduct research on flavour trends, product launches, and emerging food innovations
- Monitor global and regional food trends to identify emerging opportunities
- Track category developments across-- Bakery, Confectionery, Beverages, Dairy and Snacks
Competitive & Product Analysis- Analyse competitor products and benchmark flavour profiles
- Study ingredient trends, flavour pairings, and innovation directions
- Identify white spaces and new product opportunities
Innovation Support- Maintain a structured trend radar and innovation pipeline
- Support the development of concept-led pitches and innovation ideas for customers
- Assist in developing flavour concepts based on market insights
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with Application and R&D teams to translate insights into product concepts
- Support ideation sessions and internal innovation discussions
- Contribute to customer presentations and concept decks
What We're Looking For- 3–6 years of experience in FMCG research, food innovation, flavour trends, or product insights
- Strong interest in food, flavours, and consumer behaviour
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market information
- Ability to translate insights into clear product opportunities
- Strong research, documentation, and presentation skills
- Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented personality
Preferred Background- Degree in Food Technology, Marketing, Food Science, or related fields
- Experience in flavour houses, ingredient companies, FMCG, or food research roles
- Familiarity with global trend platforms, food reports, or product databases
