Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager will lead growth for our Solar & BESS Solutions Business in the assigned geography. The role will be responsible for driving regional sales performance, channel expansion, partner productivity, market development, and customer engagement across key segments including residential, commercial, institutional, and C&I.
This is a frontline business leadership role for someone who combines strong market understanding, channel management capability, commercial acumen, and team leadership to deliver sustainable regional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive Regional Business Growth:
- Own and deliver sales, revenue, and market share targets for the assigned region
- Develop and execute region-specific business plans to accelerate growth across residential and C&I solar and BESS solutions
- Build a healthy sales funnel, improve conversion, and ensure strong execution of monthly and quarterly business goals.
2. Build and Scale Channel Network:
- Identify, appoint, onboard, and develop channel partners, distributors, dealers, EPCs, and system integrators to ensure strong regional coverage
- Strengthen the regional sales ecosystem by working closely with influencers such as consultants, architects, contractors, financiers, and institutional stakeholders
3. Market Development:
- Create regional demand through dealer meets, influencer programs, local activations, product demonstrations, and BTL initiatives
- Work with internal marketing & product teams to improve visibility, partner engagement, and lead generation, monitor competition, pricing, and local market trends to sharpen go-to-market actions.
- Develop monthly sales and quarterly FTS (Foreign Travel Scheme) strategies using detailed sales data and insights.
- Track relevant solar policies, subsidy frameworks, state regulations, DISCOM processes, and open access developments, where applicable
Desired Experience & Skills:
- 8-15 years of experience in sales / business development, with strong exposure to solar, energy solutions, inverters, batteries, electricals, or allied power products
- Strong exposure to channel sales, B2B/B2C sales, and market development in a distributed regional business environment
- Experience in handling residential, commercial, institutional, or C&I solar opportunities will be strongly preferred
