Job Description

The Regional Manager, will be responsible for leading a retail and Area Manager's team, who can ensure the store is focused on achieving sales goals, customer service and the shopping experience, and developing internal talent and to create, recommend, and implement ideas to help store reach all goals and objectives. This role works closely with distributors and Marketing team and to ensure enhancement of brand image.

Key Result Areas for the Incumbent

Process Responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective Inventory management for the concept in the territory ( order management, stock consolidation, movement and transfer, optimum stock utilization, stock return and shrinkage)
  • Ensuring payments being collected from the retail stores and distributers in a timely manner
  • Review and analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems related to stock and sales and concepts to make effective business decisions
  • Review and effectively deal with fast / slow lines, new ranges and end of ranges and implement necessary action
  • Ensure pricing of merchandise as per prescribed matrix
  • Ensuring monthly feedback Concept on sales, stock positions and product feedback to be shared
  • Strategize and seek opportunity for concept expansion in the territory
  • Ensuring completion of new projects in a timely manner
  • Identify locations for stores as per required process and quality and Understand Territory dynamics (demographics, consumer behaviour, market understanding etc)
  • Ensuring VM Implementation, SOP adherence, Stock Transfer, Petty cash approvals, Repairs & maintenances

People Management Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular connect with staff (Housing & Transport) and ensure welfare activities are planned
  • Handholding the new recruits to understand their job and inducted well within the company
  • Train and monitore Area manager to ensure grievances are resolved in a timely manner
  • Manage the area Managers their performance, Training, development interventions and growth
  • Manage and provide direction to the team. Set team goals and regularly measure team performance.
  • Hiring, Training and Evaluation of Staff
  • Manage Employees Incentives and Attendance approvals

Financial Responsibilities

The candidate would have to interact and manage the following stakeholders

  • Work closely with the area managers , leaderships & channel partners
  • Work closely with Logistic partners to ensure timely delivery of stock
  • Mall marketing /operations

In order to be considered for the role the ideal candidate should also have:

  • Leadership skills / Communication skills / Negotiation skills/ commercial Acumen/ process management
  • Marketing/ Operational background is preferred
