Job Description

Role Purpose: ( Express Business Unit)

The role is to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets in a specific region. This includes developing sales strategies, leading a high-performing team and building strong relationships with new and existing clients. It also involves monitoring market trends, ensuring efficient operations, and achieving sales targets to contribute to the company's overall growth.

KRAs:

Sales Target Achievement & Growth: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets; Drive revenue growth and expand market share in the zone.

Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve objectives; Provide training and development to improve team performance.

Business Development & Client Acquisition: Identify and acquire new clients to grow the business; Expand the existing client base.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients; Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals; Adjust strategies based on market trends.

Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Track sales performance and provide regular reports; Use data to improve sales outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with operations, Customer Service and finance teams to align goals and improve sales.

Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies and ethical standards.

Digital Transformation: Adopt digital tools to enhance sales efficiency and performance.

Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Logistics, or a related field; Master Degree in Business Administration in Sales, Marketing is an advantage

Work Experience : Overall 12+ Years of experience in Express distribution Sales, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role managing regional Sales.

The Ideal Candidate should have :

  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
  • Market analysis and competitor intelligence abilities
  • P&L management and financial acumen
  • Understanding of digital tools for sales automation and performance tracking

  • Sales Tools Proficiency, Data Analysis & Reporting.
  • Sales forecasting & Pipeline Management.
  • Market Analysis, Financial Acumen.
  • Operational & Logistics understanding.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • A strong Regional Sales Head for Mumbai and Pune demonstrate strategic leadership by building high-performance teams with clear ownership and accountability, while bringing sharp commercial acumen and a deep understanding of market dynamics to drive sustainable growth.
  • The role requires exceptional executive communication and influence, with the ability to engage CXOs and senior stakeholders, articulate compelling value propositions, and lead complex, high-value negotiations.
  • Success in this market demands sound judgment and decisiveness in ambiguous situations, along with adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • The individual must be highly goal-oriented, customer-centric, and possess the executive presence and credibility to build long-term, trust-based relationships at the highest levels.
