Job Description

Mantras2success Consultants is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Regional Manager (Technical). This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring efficient coordination across all service center departments, facilitating the timely processing and dispatch of inventory to valued customers. Additionally, you will be crucial in developing and implementing streamlined processes at the service centers, maintaining a sharp focus on quality control and all engineering parameters.

Roles & Responsibilities

Service Centre Operations:

  • Develop and implement efficient on-ground processes and procedures at the service center to streamline order processing, inventory management, and quality control.
  • Oversee the preparation of processing plans for the service center, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve service center operations to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

People Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to effectively address and resolve quality-related concerns and customer complaints.

Quality Control:

  • Lead a team of 3rd party/in-house QC (Quality Control) personnel and GETs (Graduate Engineer Trainees), setting up robust controls, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and daily reporting mechanisms.
  • Establish and enforce strict quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of product quality and consistency across all service centers.
  • Implement regular quality checks and audits to identify and rectify any issues promptly.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, order processing, and quality control activities.
  • Generate daily/monthly reports and performance metrics to assess and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates to the management team on key performance indicators and operational progress.

Vendor and Partner Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with all key vendors and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in factory operations management or a similar role, preferably in an operations environment or from a steel background.
  • Industry Inclination: Strong inclination to learn about the B2B online space and flat steel products, including their application in various industries and consumption segments.
  • Process Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement efficient processes and workflows.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective team collaboration.
  • Education: A minimum Bachelor's degree in Production or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
