About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Engineer for our client, a leading pharma/biotech equipment manufacturer. The role focuses on inspections, compliance with standards, and ensuring quality across all stages of production.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of ASME, ASTM codes and quality practices
Key Responsibilities
- Perform stagewise, in-process, raw material and final inspections
- Inspect bought-out items such as pumps, motors and valves
- Review raw material test certificates as per ASME
- Maintain calibration records of machines and instruments
- Interpret fabrication and GA drawings of vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns and storage vessels
- Apply ASME Sec. 8, Sec. 9, Sec. S and ASTM standards
- Knowledge of WPS, PQR, WPQ, welding types and symbols
- Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, PT, VT)
- Prepare Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
