Education Qualification: Degree in Plastic Engineering & Testing from CIPET (Mandatory)/ B.Sc.(Chemistry)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Engineer to join our HDPE Pipe Plant. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience( Freshers can also apply)in quality control, specifically in HDPE pipe manufacturing. The candidate must be well-versed with IS 4984 and TEC standards and have excellent communication skills in Hindi and English. Additionally, the candidate must have strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Excel & MS Word, and knowledge of the BIS portal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality checks and inspections on HDPE pipes (20mm to 500mm diameter) and HDPE PLB telecom duct pipes to ensure compliance with IS 4984 and TEC standards.

• Perform testing, calibration, and operation of quality control equipment to ensure accurate measurements and analysis.

• Inspect and test raw materials (HDPE, PLB Telecom duct, PPR etc.) before production

• Ensure that pipe thickness and mechanical properties comply with product specifications.

• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of test reports, quality records, and compliance certificates.

• Conduct and manage third-party inspections, coordinate with inspection agencies, and ensure all procedures are followed as per regulatory standards.

• Identify and report quality defects, material issues, or process deviations, and suggest corrective actions.

• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes for continuous improvement.

• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and instruments.

• Work closely with the production and R&D teams to improve product quality and reduce rejection rates.

• Maintain strict compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.

• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality parameters and standard operating procedures.

• Handle and update the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) portal for certifications, compliance, and documentation.

• Maintain and analyze data using MS Excel and prepare reports and presentations using MS Word.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Plastic Engineering & BSC(Chemistry) & Testing from CIPET – Mandatory.

• Minimum 3 years of experience (Freshers can also apply)

in quality control within an HDPE pipe manufacturing plant.

• Strong knowledge of IS 4984 and TEC standards related to HDPE pipes and PLB telecom duct pipes.

• Expertise in conducting and handling third-party inspections.

• Proficiency in calibration, operation, and maintenance of testing equipment used in quality control.

• Strong analytical skills to detect and troubleshoot quality issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and English.

• Proficient in computer operations, with strong skills in MS Excel and MS Word.

• Must have knowledge of handling and updating the BIS portal for compliance and certification processes.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
