About the Risk Management Department

The Risk Management department plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization against operational, financial, and compliance risks. This team is responsible for identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and implementing robust controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies. By conducting risk-based audits, monitoring key risk indicators, and driving process improvements, the department ensures operational integrity, minimizes exposure, and supports a culture of compliance and accountability.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Testing Manager with deep expertise in US Mortgage Servicing Operations. This leadership role will oversee quality assurance programs, drive compliance adherence, and ensure operational excellence across servicing functions such as payment processing, escrow management, investor reporting, and default servicing. The ideal candidate will lead a team of quality analysts, implement robust testing frameworks, and partner with stakeholders to mitigate risk and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Quality Testing team for mortgage servicing operations.
  • Develop and implement quality control strategies, audit plans, and test protocols aligned with regulatory and investor requirements.
  • Oversee quality reviews for critical servicing processes:
  • Post payment and reconciliation
  • Escrow analysis and disbursements
  • ARM adjustments and payoff calculations
  • Loss mitigation, foreclosure, and bankruptcy processes
  • Ensure compliance with CFPB, RESPA, TILA, and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
  • Drive root cause analysis for defects and process gaps; collaborate with operations to implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present quality dashboards, trend analysis, and risk reports to senior leadership.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update testing frameworks accordingly.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, and process optimization.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 710 years of experience in US Mortgage Servicing Operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage lifecycle, especially servicing functions (escrow, investor reporting, default management).
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, risk management, and compliance within mortgage servicing.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and identify trends for proactive risk mitigation.
