We are looking for an experienced and highly driven Test Lead with strong hands-on Automation expertise and proven leadership capabilities to take complete ownership of the testing function across projects. This is a key role requiring both strategic thinking and technical depth, along with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Role Overview
The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of experience in Software Testing, including 4+ years in Test Leadership and 8+ years in Automation Testing. You will be responsible for defining the test strategy, ensuring high-quality deliverables, driving automation excellence, and acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all testing-related activities.

This role demands strong accountability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities
Test Leadership & Ownership
Own end-to-end testing activities for assigned projects

Define and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans

Ensure quality, timelines, and delivery commitments are met

Act as the primary contact for all testing-related matters

Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies

Automation Testing
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, and Cucumber (BDD)

Identify high-value test scenarios for automation

Review and maintain code quality standards for automation scripts

Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

Drive continuous improvement in automation coverage and execution efficiency

Functional & Manual Testing Oversight
Oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing

Ensure accurate test case design and execution

Validate business requirements and ensure complete test coverage

Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead and mentor a team of automation and QA engineers

Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure productivity

Conduct reviews for test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports

Foster a quality-first culture within the team

Defect & Quality Management
Own the complete defect lifecycle

Drive effective defect triage and root cause analysis

Collaborate closely with development teams for timely resolution

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
Prepare and present daily/weekly status reports and dashboards

Participate in sprint ceremonies, release planning, and stakeholder meetings

Clearly communicate risks, dependencies, and quality metrics

Process & Continuous Improvement
Define and enforce QA processes and best practices

Drive quality initiatives across projects

Ensure adherence to organizational and client quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in Java, Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured (API testing)

Expertise in BDD frameworks (Cucumber)

Experience with TestNG / JUnit

Knowledge of Maven/Gradle, Git/BitBucket, Jenkins (CI/CD)

Experience with test management tools such as Xray, Qmetry, or Zephyr

Strong SQL knowledge

Hands-on experience with Jira and SDLC tools

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

Leadership & Soft Skills
Strong ownership mindset with high accountability

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

Proven experience leading QA teams in complex enterprise projects

Good to Have
Experience with performance or security testing

Exposure to cloud-based testing environments

ISTQB or relevant testing certifications
