Quality Assurance Engineer

Hiring: QA Engineer (3 – 5 Years) | Remote

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Mid-Level QA Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation using Cypress. As a key member of the Quality Assurance team, you will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated tests, as well as manual testing when needed, to ensure a smooth and reliable user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications
• Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing to ensure quality releases
• Collaborate closely with the development team to understand features, provide feedback, and suggest improvements
• Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring timely resolution
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data based on product requirements and specifications
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall automation framework to improve efficiency
• Execute manual testing when necessary for complex scenarios not covered by automation
• Analyze test results, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Continuously improve test strategies and workflows, with a focus on CI/CD integration
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and test automation.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining automated tests using Cypress
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests within them (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, regression, performance)
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
