Quality Assurance Engineer

Works within defined processes or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. Takes a broad perspective to problems and identifies new, less obvious solutions. - Receives instructions and guidance from manager or supervisor and performs moderately complex and varied tasks with a moderate degree of supervision. - May have specialized external certification and/or job-related training and work experience. Specific accountabilities: Implement test strategy *Defines test cases from customer's requirements and ensure traceability with specifications. *Writes test plan (functional and/or non-functional and/or non-regression). *Ensures improvement of non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan. Design and perform tests *Designs test cases and develop automated test case scripts. *Prepares test environment, test data, and execute test cases. *Gives go/no-go for the customer's test campaign. *Responsible for the project, product or release quality control. Fix Problem Tracking Records *Provides information to developers in order to fix defects *Checks PTR fix and give go/no-go for the load of Production PTRs *Documents software defects. Share your knowledge *Participates in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements. *Reports and communicates on test activities to the line organization, software developers and product definitions analysts.
