Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright Automation using JavaScript, API testing, UI automation, and database validation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern QA practices, system testing, debugging, and quality ownership across the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute automated testing using Playwright with JavaScript, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
- Perform API and UI automation, covering test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Conduct thorough testing of web applications, backend services, and integrations.
- Work across system testing, bug lifecycle management, test case creation, and defect reporting.
- Perform database testing with both SQL and NoSQL databases (NoSQL preferred).
- Utilize Linux/Unix commands for debugging, log analysis, and environment validation.
- Identify potential risks, defects, and bottlenecks within applications.
- Perform root cause analysis for critical issues and collaborate with developers for quick resolution.
- Conduct mobile testing when required.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to requirement clarity by asking the right questions.
- Demonstrate ownership, self-motivation, and a strong passion for software testing and automation.
- Think analytically to break the system and uncover complex defects.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of QA automation experience, with at least 4 years in Playwright + JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of API Automation, UI Automation, and modern test frameworks.
- Experience with database testing (SQL + NoSQL).
- Proficient in Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently with a high sense of ownership.
