Job Summary
- The Quality Assurance Analyst will bring expertise from a strong background in Quality Analysis to a growing and innovative organization, designing and documenting testing scenarios, creating test plans, and reviewing quality specifications and technical design for both existing and new products. The QA Engineer will be an integral part of our growing product team, working with new technology in both manual and automation testing environments.
- The Quality Assurance Analyst will design testing procedures to ensure software meets established quality standards using best practices and industry standard practices. Develops and writes testing scripts to ensure software performs as expected while monitoring and documenting testing results according to established procedures.
Essential Functions And Tasks
- Perform hands on test execution (both manual and automated) for healthcare EDI, ETL Processing, and application functionality.
- Creates detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Participate closely with triage support teams to ensure that production system defects are documented, and an appropriate testing plan is established.
- Drive quality and assist in the implementation of company automated test frameworks and solutions within assigned agile team.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Math, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
- Minimum(2) years ofexperience as a quality assurance engineer. Experience with testing cloud-native systems a plus.
- QA related certifications preferred (CSTE, CSQA, CAST).
- Familiarity with healthcare EDI data formats a plus (i.e., HL7).
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proficient in software development and testing life cycles.
- Proficient with using a variety of test case management tools such as TestRails, HP Quality Center or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with automated testing tools a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server).
- Ability to read and understand existing queries as well as create new queries.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong process improvement & organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Working knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA or DevOps.
- Ability to identify opportunities that drive execution of action plans to close gaps and move key priorities forward.
- Ability to influence and gain support from stakeholders through effective communication and relationship building.
- Ability to communicate technical information to technical and nontechnical personnel at various levels in and across the organization.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to remain results oriented and work within a collaborative and dynamic high paced environment.
- Strong word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.
Compensation
- Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
- This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
