Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures for products, services, and processes.
- Perform regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve product specifications, process control documents, and quality-related documentation.
- Identify and resolve quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Testing and Inspection:
- Conduct quality testing and inspections on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Ensure that the correct tests are applied at each stage of production, and all test results are accurately documented.
- Analyze test data to assess product quality and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Perform final inspections and sign-offs for products before they are shipped or delivered to customers.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas of inefficiency or quality concerns within production or service delivery processes and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes that enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase operational efficiency.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvements to ensure they yield the desired results.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and process audits.
- Prepare and submit regular quality reports to management, highlighting key quality metrics and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that all quality-related documents are up-to-date and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all products and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO, FDA, GMP, or other applicable standards.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in industry regulations, quality standards, and best practices, and integrate them into the company's quality systems.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and certifications to maintain compliance and certification status.
Training and Development:
- Conduct training sessions for staff on quality standards, testing methods, and best practices.
- Promote a culture of quality within the organization and ensure that all team members understand their role in maintaining quality standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA/QC staff members.
Supplier and Vendor Quality Management:
- Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers and vendors, ensuring that they meet company quality standards.
- Work closely with the procurement team to assess supplier quality and resolve any issues that arise in the supply chain.
- Conduct supplier audits and assist with the development of supplier improvement plans.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field. Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or similar) is preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or service industry.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and standards.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and relevant industry standards (ISO, GMP, etc.).
- Proficient in using QA/QC tools and software (e.g., SPC, Minitab, QMS software).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve quality issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate quality issues effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
