QA Engineer

Role: QA Engineer / QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects using defect-tracking tools.
• Execute test cases and maintain test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts for web applications.
• Work with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, and Business Teams to understand requirements and ensure quality.
• Analyze application logs and database information to troubleshoot and validate defects.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of the QA process.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage through automation.
• Explore and utilize AI-powered QA/testing tools to improve test-case generation, test automation, defect analysis, and overall testing efficiency.
• Stay updated with emerging AI in Software Testing / AI-QA practices and tools.

Required Skills:

• 3–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
• Hands-on experience with Automation Testing.
• Knowledge of Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python for automation.
• Experience with API Testing and tools such as Postman
• Experience with defect-management tools such as Jira or similar.
• Understanding of Git/GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Familiarity with AI tools and Generative AI concepts, particularly their application in software testing.
• Good analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in developing or maintaining an automation framework.
• Knowledge of CI/CD automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools or LLM-based QA workflows.
• Knowledge of performance or security testing would be an added advantage.
