We are seeking a talented QA Automation Tester to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products through automated testing. You will work closely with developers and product managers to create robust testing strategies that enhance product reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing automated test scripts using appropriate tools.
- Conducting functional, regression, and performance testing on software applications.
- Collaborating with developers and product managers to understand requirements and improve testing processes.
- Identifying, recording, and tracking defects using bug tracking systems.
- Executing test cases and documenting results for various software applications.
- Maintaining and updating test automation frameworks.
- Participating in code reviews and providing feedback on testability and automation strategies.
- Ensuring quality standards are adhered to throughout the software development lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
