What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end operational delivery of projects, ensuring successful realization against customer requirements for content, quality, timeline, and budget.
- Drive projects across the full lifecycledefinition, planning, execution, delivery, and aftercareusing structured project management methodologies and tools.
- Lead day-to-day project execution, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks,and resources are actively managed and controlled.
- Proactively identify risks, issues, and constraints, define practical mitigation plans, and ensure timely resolution without impacting delivery commitments.
- Organize and facilitate regular project, operational, and stakeholder status meetings, ensuring clarity, alignment, and decision ownership.
- Deliver clear, accurate, and data-driven project reporting to internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners.
- Define,monitor, and continuously improve project KPIs, ensuring performance,quality, and efficiency targets are met.
- Act as a subject-matter expert, driving engineering and tooling priorities based on operational needs and customer impact.
- Ensure compliance of automated and manual workflows, validating quality, process adherence, and governance standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Quality,Product, Platform) to drive alignment and execution efficiency.
- Manage external suppliers and partners, ensuring contractual deliverables,quality standards, and timelines are met.
- Manage operational and organizational change impacts, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, tools, or delivery models.
- Take a hands-on approach to close execution gaps where required, especially during critical delivery phases.
- Challenge the status quo, identify inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement across business and operational processes.
- Apply data analytics and operational insights to support decision-making,root-cause analysis, and process optimization.
- Lead complex problem-solving efforts, taking new perspectives where precedents do not exist.
- Serve as a mentor and escalation point for less experienced project managers and team members.
- Operate independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating accountability, ownership, flexibility, and resilience.
- Foster team motivation, engagement, and performance, creating a culture of ownership, quality, and delivery excellence
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in IT, Engineering, or Geographical Sciences
- 1215 years of proven project management experience in a technical or operational map-making environment
- PRINCE2,PMP, or equivalent Project Management certification
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or hybrid)
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma quality management practices
- Domain experience in GIS, Mapping, or Navigation (preferred)
- Working knowledge of QGIS, ArcGIS, OSM iD Editor, Java-based map editing tools
- FME Workbench (basic)
- Python and SQL scripts (basic understanding)
- Experience managing complex, global projects across multiple regions and time zones
- Proven ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing vendors, external stakeholders, and partners (strong plus)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High energy, self-starter mindset, and strong sense of ownership
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint),
- Basic understanding of JIRA and Power BI for project tracking, reporting, and insights
- Strongly quality- and process-focused, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Advanced proficiency in English
What is nice to have Knowledge of ADAS/HD map layers and familiarity with automotive standards (ISA, ADAS, AV, HD Maps) is an advantage. Familiarity with APIs and integrations, Cloud Services
