Job Role Summary
The Project Manager (IT / Software) will be responsible for planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of technology initiatives.
The role requires strong project management skills, stakeholder coordination, and experience handling large-scale digital transformation programs involving multiple vendors and teams. The incumbent will ensure delivery excellence, adherence to timelines, budget control, and compliance with government IT governance standards.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and oversee end-to-end software delivery for assigned projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in line with program goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation using Agile and hybrid models.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA, Operations) and external vendors.
- Conduct regular sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives; track progress using JIRA.
- Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and validate milestones for invoice approvals.
- Prepare and present project progress reports, dashboards, and performance summaries to stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, approvals, and change logs in Confluence and other repositories.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, security, and quality standards as applicable to the program.
- Drive process improvement, efficiency, and adoption of project management best practices.
Education
- BE/BTech, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Experience
- 8 to 14 years of overall experience with at least 6 years in IT Project / Program Management.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale digital or e-Governance projects.
- Strong background in Agile / Scrum, hybrid methodologies, and multi-vendor coordination.
