Project Manager ADAS

Job Purpose:
The Person will be responsible to lead and oversee ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) aftermarket projects from concept through launch. This role is responsible for ensuring successful product development, integration, and deployment in the aftermarket space, working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, quality, supply chain, and sales.
Role Expectations:
- Project Ownership: Drive end-to-end project execution for ADAS aftermarket solutions, including scoping, planning, budgeting, and delivery. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor and track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. o Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, R&D, supply chain, and marketing to ensure alignment on timelines, requirements, and deliverables.
- Timeline & Milestone Management: Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring key milestones are met across hardware and software components.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, developing mitigation plans and ensuring timely resolution.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all deliverables meet automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE, UNECE regulations) as well as regional regulatory requirements. Ensure all products meet quality standards through rigorous inspection and testing procedures.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective execution.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Reporting structure:
Role will report into Product & Technology Head/Director
Interactions:
- Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with other departments, including sales, quality, SCM and engineering, to achieve business objectives.
- External Stakeholders: Customers/Clients
II. PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS
Profile:
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Engineering Background.
- 8+ years of project management experience in the automotive sector, preferably with ADAS or related electronic systems.
- Experience in ADAS aftermarket operations, Product Operations, Driving Processes, and Handle Customer Escalations.
- Proven track record in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with Tier 1 suppliers or OEMs in the automotive aftermarket space.
- Strong understanding of ADAS technologies, sensors (radar, LiDAR, cameras), and vehicle integration challenges.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, or similar).
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing product lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Experience in managing delivery operations and logistics.
