Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Software Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of software development projects. The ideal candidate will be PMP-certified, possess strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, and have proven experience managing complex projects across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of software projects
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Develop detailed project plans and track progress against milestones
  • Manage cross-functional teams including developers, QA, UX, DevOps, and vendors
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, and senior management
  • Manage change requests and scope adjustments effectively
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
  • Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives (for Agile projects)
  • Prepare status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
  • Ensure compliance with organizational processes and governance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
  • PMP Certification (Mandatory)
  • 610 years of total experience in the IT/software industry
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on project management experience
  • Proven track record of delivering software projects successfully
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing enterprise or large-scale software implementations
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Vendor and stakeholder management experience
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and contract management
  • Experience in client-facing roles
