This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Project Manager, India (Naturals) in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-impact project focused on improving labor practices and sustainability in the natural ingredients supply chain in India. You will manage all aspects of project implementation, from field assessments to coalition governance, while collaborating with local suppliers, processors, and multiple stakeholders. The position requires strong expertise in human rights due diligence, project management, and stakeholder coordination, with a focus on addressing child labor risks and improving occupational health and safety. You will provide strategic guidance, oversee partner activities, and deliver actionable insights to ensure measurable impact. This role combines fieldwork with remote management and requires travel to key project areas. Your work will directly contribute to strengthening ethical practices and responsible sourcing in the sector.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all project activities, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans, tracking key indicators and outcomes.
  • Oversee partnerships with local implementing partners, processors, and suppliers, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with project objectives.
  • Conduct field-level assessments, including worker profiling, grievance mechanism mapping, wage benchmarking, and occupational health and safety evaluations.
  • Facilitate capacity-building for suppliers and processors on human rights due diligence, gender equity, and responsible sourcing practices.
  • Manage coalition and advisory committees, organize meetings, and prepare agendas, minutes, and project documentation.
  • Support procurement processes, including drafting Terms of Reference and RFPs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, coordinating with fragrance houses, suppliers, and community actors.
  • Prepare progress reports, case studies, and financial updates for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing multi-stakeholder projects related to human rights, children's rights, responsible sourcing, living wage/income, or occupational health and safety.
  • Proven background in project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • High-level organizational and program management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office Suite; MacOS experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and sensitive topics professionally.
  • Commitment to promoting ethical labor practices and improving working conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% to project areas in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
