Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

Reporting To: Project Manager / Head of Projects
Location: Assam and Pan India
Job Purpose
Responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring engineering projects, ensuring timely completion, compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The role requires coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to achieve project goals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs (Key Result Areas)
Project Planning & Execution
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
Ensure projects are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and budgets.
Coordinate with internal teams (design, procurement, construction) and external stakeholders.
Technical Oversight & Engineering Support
Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and engineering calculations.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients.
Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress updates.
Address and resolve technical queries and change requests.
Cost & Resource Management
Monitor project budgets and control costs within approved limits.
Track material procurement, manpower, and equipment usage.
Prepare cost reports and forecasts for management review.
Quality & Safety Compliance
Implement quality assurance procedures and site inspections.
Ensure all project activities follow safety protocols and legal requirements.
Report non-compliance and corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain project documentation (drawings, reports, progress notes, RFI, submittals).
Generate weekly/monthly project reports for management and clients.
Ensure proper record-keeping for audits and compliance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Senior Project Engineer
On-time Project Delivery: Ensure 95% of project milestones are achieved as per schedule.
Budget Compliance: Maintain project costs within 5% of the approved budget.
Engineering Accuracy: Limit engineering errors or rework to <2% of total tasks.
Client Satisfaction: Achieve 4/5 rating in client feedback surveys.
Resource Utilization: Ensure 90% efficiency of manpower and equipment.
Quality Compliance: Zero major quality defects or non-conformances on project deliverables.
Safety Compliance: Zero major safety incidents at the project site.
Progress Reporting: Submit weekly/monthly reports accurately and on time.
Change Management: Timely response and resolution of client or internal change requests.
Team Leadership: Effective mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of [Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Process] engineering principles.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent.
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.

Educational & Experience Requirements
Education: B.E in relevant engineering discipline
Experience: Minimum 02 years in project engineering or similar roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead position.

Reports to: Project Manager / Head of Projects
Performance review: Quarterly based on KPIs and project deliverables.
