The positions are for the Hardware Design and Integration team of Energy Industries business in India Operations Center (INOPC). INOPC is a global competence center with large team of skilled engineers who focus on supporting entire life cycle of projects that includes Hardware engineering, planning, procurement support, functional system testing, installation and commissioning. The INOPC team in Bangalore supports ABB units all over the globe.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Operation Centers and Quality division based in Bangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Review of Technical specification of DCS Cabinets and Designing the cabinets to meet the customer specification.
Designing best fit technical solution against customer specifications. Determining most technical appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
Experience with the ABB 800xA System including power and grounding requirements, field cabling requirements and field wiring typical for IO signals, equipment, installation, connection, power-up and site acceptance testing.
Experience in Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Design, implementation, Test, Installation, Commissioning & Start-up of an Integrated Control & Safety System and Process Power Management (PPM) system in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals & Refining or Power & Water Industry with focus on efficiency improvements.
Experience working with internal and external panel shops performing cabinet fabrication and testing.
Good understanding on how to design and fabricate a cabinet.
Knowledge from applicable industry and electrical standards such as UL, ATEX, CSA. etc.
Knowledge with engineering tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Eplan, E3 & EBase)
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelors degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering discipline
6+ years of professional work experience in Automation Proposals (DCS/ ESD/ FGS) for process industries in any one of the domains like Oil & Gas/ Refineries/ Petrochemicals.
Have good knowledge in review of RFQ, understanding the scope, preparation of Cabinet drawings (GA/IGA/Schematic/BOM).
Experience in attending kick-off meeting with stake holders and understands the scope clarification.
Experience in Preparation of deliverables - System Architecture, Bill of materials, General Arrangement Drawings, Schematic etc.
