We are seeking a highly strategic and proactive Program Manager cum Scrum Master to lead and oversee multiple agile software development programs. This dual-role position drives end-to-end program delivery across interconnected projects, including strategic planning, execution, risk mitigation at the portfolio level, executive stakeholder engagement, and embedding agile best practices organization-wide.
Description for Internal Candidates
As a Program Manager:
- Define program vision, scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines across multiple interdependent projects in alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive program roadmaps, resource strategies, and budgets, coordinating with project managers for seamless execution.
- Oversee program-level risks, dependencies, issues, and change management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of business outcomes.
- Monitor program performance using enterprise tools and KPIs; implement corrective actions and portfolio optimization.
- Deliver executive-level updates, dashboards, and reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional, matrixed teams spanning multiple projects; manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations at scale.
As a Scrum Master:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies across multiple teams – Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Reviews.
- Coach program teams on Agile/Scrum best practices to drive efficiency, collaboration, and high-quality outputs.
- Proactively identify and resolve impediments impacting program progress.
- Ensure adherence to Agile processes and scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) across teams.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the program ecosystem.
- Partner with Product Owners and portfolio leads to maintain prioritized backlogs and alignment with strategic goals.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in program/project management, with at least 5 years in a Program Manager role and 3+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Proven track record leading Agile/Scrum programs in software development, ideally with scaled frameworks.
- Deep expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), SDLC, and program governance.
- Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align, MS Project, Confluence, ServiceNow).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills for executive audiences.
- Experience with distributed, cross-functional global teams and complex dependencies.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
